The Spanish Conference, and the presence of companies and projects
Spain has own conference, How can Spanish Shopping Centres adapt to serve omnichannel consumers?, co-organised by Spanish Association of Shopping Centers (Aecc, in spanish), with relevant speakers, the 14 November (16:30-17:30), at Conference Room 2.
Javier Hortelano, chairman Aecc, is the moderator of the panel, and the speakers, Gonzalo Senra, head of Retail CBRE; Laetitia Ferracci, director of Operations Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, and Dolores Bañon, director of Operations and Development Carrefour Property.
The Spanish Association of Shopping Malls (AECC) have a stand at the fair and participate in the cycle of seminars focused on discussing the sector in our country, through the Spanish Conference
The conference has address issues such as: Retail real estate market overview, latest/upcoming projects & industry key facts; The new consumer patterns & changing consumer needs shaking up the retail industry; What will shopping centres be like in the future, lifestyle destinations and logistics hubs?; Browsing offline, shopping online: how business models will evolve between tenants and properties; What are the latest technological and innovation solutions to boost traffic and dwell time?, and finallly, What is the strategy behind e-tailers opening physical store.

More than 2,500 property developers and shopping centre owners are at MAPIC 2018 to showcase their latest projects, giving international retailers a unique three-day opportunity to find out about new site locations. Two projects located at Spain showcased are: Torrecárdenas Shopping Complex, located in Almería, and presented by Bogaris. Torrecárdenas is an innovative commercial complex designed by
Chapman Taylor International Studio, which is located in the largest residential expansion area of the city of Almeria. It will provide 62,000 sq m of GLA and more than 3,000 parking spaces. And the second is intu Costa del Sol, located in Torremolinos (Málaga), set to redefine the model of shopping centres, providing compelling experiences together with the highest quality offer. Presented by intu, the opening date is 2021.
