Operating in the top echelon of international architectural practices, Chapman Taylor excels in the design of retail and leisure destinations, offices, hotels & resorts and residential buildings across the world. With a work portfolio spanning 90 countries and design studios in 19 locations across six continents, one of the company’s key points of difference is their global footprint and presence.
“Our team is made up of over 45 nationalities and we speak at least 35 different languages. This means whe-rever our clients operate, we have the skills and resources to help”. We currentlty work in Asia, Europe, Middle East and Latin America.
One of our major projects due to open in December is the highly anticipated Mall of Qatar, a 450,000sqm shopping centre that will provide visitors with over 100 restaurants, 500 stores and a Cinemacity complex consisting of 19 screens including the largest IMAX laser 3D in the world. Pictured together with this article is also de impressive urban center of Plaza Rio 2, on site at present in Madrid, Spain.
Already operating across diverse geographies, the company always remains on the lookout for new and exciting markets. As Iran’s economy starts to emerge following the removal of economic sanctions, reports suggest that it has the potential to surpass Turkey and Saudi Arabia in terms of GDP within a decade. “There is huge demand for higher quality shopping locations, housing, offices and hotels and already we are working at the early design stages of a number of large mixed-use projects with local deve-lopers in Iran”.
As a group, Chapman Taylor believe they have a creative duty and responsibility to design quality envi-ronments that people enjoy, and have a proven track record of bringing to reality successful retail and leisure projects. Their design studios work as a collaborative team, meaning inter-national design studios often work together to offer their clients the best of international and local design knowledge. This process brings people together with different points of view and different expertise generating more creative solutions.
“We Challenge convention, offer advice and propose new ways to overcome old problems but most importantly we listen to clients and deliver bespoke design solutions.” As Chapman Taylor always has constantly proved.
In terms of our main objective for the year ahead we work to continue leading the field in designing world class creative and successful retail and leisure environments, that will stand the test of time, and of course winning further industry awards such as RLI Designer of the Year which we are proud to have received in 2016.
